On the tabbed page Media variable (up to V11 "Documents") Media Variables are managed. They can be created for different purposes (PARTtemplateDesigner [3D-PDF data sheet function), Print-Projects, Assistants, Product configurators, PARTcommunity [e.g. tooltip additional information]).
Following figure gives an overview on the two dialog areas Templates and Variables.
The dialog area Templates is especially used when working with the PARTtemplateDesigner. See Chapter 10, PARTtemplateDesigner - Create datasheets .
In the dialog area Variables, all available Media Variables (keys) are listed.
In and below the level of selection, Media Variables are displayed in black color.
