Manual search of index trees:

For example, select the sub-item Catalogs or Classifications on the Parts selection [Part selection] tab page and search the respective directory structure for the desired part.

The start interface of PARTdataManager is always the part selection [Part selection]. All dialog areas are organized as dockings so that you can switch back and forth between all tab pages at any time.

On the starting interface of PARTdataManager you can see all installed catalogs.[37]

In addition to the area for selecting the search method(s), the user interface for part selection is divided into 3 main areas.

Tree structure - The Parts selection [Part selection] tab page with sub-items Catalogs, Classifications, Favorites, History and Document scan:

Choose any subitem and browse the tree structure.

The tree structure gives you an overview of which level you are at.

Simply click on a directory to see the corresponding subdirectories (or the projects at the lowest level) on the right-hand side of the Symbols or Details page.

Furthermore you can specify by directory selection for which catalog or directory level a search shall be performed.

The subdirectories (or projects ) are displayed here for selection in the tree on the left.

Breadcrumbs (navigation path)

The navigation path shows the path of the current selection.

You can jump directly into a level by clicking on the directory symbol.

You can find more information under Section 1.3.4.13.7, “ Navigation via navigation path (breadcrumbs) ”.

Example: In the illustration,"Catalogs [Catalogs] " is selected on the left and a directory is selected in the tree. The corresponding subdirectories for the directory selected on the left are displayed on the right.

A project symbol appears at the lowest level of a directory branch (e.g. (component) or (assembly).[38]

Double-click on a project to switch to the parts view [Part view]. Detailed information on the parts view [Part view] can be found at Section 1.4, “ Part view.
