The LinkDB creates the link between the geometry data of the standard parts and manufacturer catalogs and ERP data from different systems and databases. This link must be created once.[9]
PARTdataCenter is the tool for identifying parts - even with different designations.
In principle, a part is clearly identified with a standard number and specification of the characteristic.
For example: ISO 4762 and M5x25
Parts that have been identified are saved in the LinkDB with the link material master no. + geometry parameter.
Based on this link, any additional attributes/information [Attributes] from third-party systems can now be assigned and added. All information can then be displayed in the PARTdataManager - displayed in full or filtered as required.
Via the number (ERP_PDM_NUMBER) data can also be easily identified and updated. See Section 6.3.1.3, “Automated data update ”.
In the PARTdataManager all data can be displayed in a single interface.
[9] Basic information on the link (link table, ERP table) can be found at Section 6.1.3.1, “Link table and ERP table”.
