In order to get best possible results from a mixture of V11 legacy data and V12 data you have to regenerate the geometrical index (also see Section 7, “GeoDb” in PARTsolutions - Administration Manual). In V12, the CPL algorithm has been changed so that it is more robust against changes in the triangulation.^[19]

Differences between legacy data and V12 data that nevertheless occur cannot be completely eliminated as the parasolid core has been basically revised. So for parts with high geometrical similarity, but not reaching 100%, it cannot be ruled out that it is a duplicate.
