2.25. PARTapplicationServer: Support for HTTP/2

The PARTapplicationServer now supports the HTTP/2 protocol— encrypted via SSL/TLS (negotiated via ALPN) and unencrypted (h2c). Web applications such as the dashboard benefit from this in particular: Multiple requests are bundled into a single connection, reducing wait times .[21]

You can specify whether HTTP/2 is offered over SSL in PARTadmin under Application Server → AppServer Service on the Tabbed [Port configuration] page using the "Offer HTTP/2.0 over SSL [Offer HTTP/2.0 via SSL] " option via the checkbox.

PARTadmin: "Offer HTTP/2.0 via SSL" option on the Tabbed page "Port configuration"

PARTadmin: "Offer HTTP/2.0 via SSL" option on the Tabbed page "Port configuration"

[Note]Note

WebSocket connections continue to run over HTTP/1.1. When using Negotiate authentication, browsers also fall back to HTTP/1.1. The PARTsolutions clients (Qt) continue to use HTTP/1.1.
