The displayed name of the docking window "Tools" varies depending on the chosen function such as Base extrude, Cut extrude, Muster, Sweep, for example.
As long as a tool is active History tree, Variable Manager, Table are automatically disabled in order to prevent model changes; furthermore the context menu of the 3D view is not displayed.
The 3D view itself stays active even if the editing dialog is opened. You can also change values and the effect will be immediately visible in 3D. See above.[108]
The docking window Tools behaves as all others, too. It allows to adjust size, position and to free it from the grouping.
If the docking window is closed with a tool in active state, changes are not applied.
The docking window can be shown or hidden, if the current view is 3D modelling (same behavior as the history tree) and allows no access as long as the sketcher view is active or you are in the table mode[109].
According to the selection in the 3D History or 3D view, inside the toolbar Tools, the corresponding icons are shown. The same commands can also be found in the context menus of the history tree. In the following you will get an overview on the different possibilities of selection.
