5.12.3.2.1. Preconditions

  1. The following class systems have to be installed:

    • By Categories

    • By Countries

    • By Functionality

    PARTadmin -> Catalogs -> Online -> tabbed page "Update" -> Classifications

    PARTadmin -> Catalogs -> Online -> tabbed page "Update" -> Classifications

    The installation happens in PARTadmin under Section 1.3.4.1, “ Catalog update Online ” in PARTsolutions - Administration Manual.

  2. In the catalog root folder, the file categories.prj has to be created.

    [Note]Note

    Don't copy the categories.prj from other catalogs, but absolutely create it via template.

    This file is needed if classifying happens on catalog level (By Categories and By Countries).

    1. On the catalog root folder, call the context menu command New project.

      -> The same named dialog box is opened.

    2. Select Template for Categories Project and confirm with OK.[43]

      -> The project is automatically created with the needed files (translation file and png file for company logo).

If the preconditions are fulfilled, in PARTproject, after selecting the file categories.prj or a project file and the tab Classification, below, the tabs By Categories, By Countries and By Functionality are shown..
