For a quick mapping of materials, use already set colors. At that several materials can be assigned to a color or a certain material can be assigned to specific projects of a color.
Through the use of textures and normal maps[23] this gives you particularly realistic views. You can see examples of this at ???.
The mapping procedure of materials to colors can be performed for a whole catalog.
Call: PARTproject -> Project selection -> Catalog context menu -> Automation -> Set materials from colors
All colors found are listed in the Assign materials from colors dialog.
Once selecting a color on the left, on the right found projects are listed.
If you select a material in the list field on the left under Material, this will be set for all projects on the right. In the list fields on the right under Material, you can optionally select different materials for certain projects.
If you are missing certain materials, you can open the Render materials dialog by clicking on the button at the top right. You can find details on this at Section 5.9.2.8, “Menu item: Render properties ”.
[23] Normal maps do not change the contour of the object, but only influence the light reflection and the shadows cast and do not require any extra geometry.
