Chapter 12. How can I import the selected CAD model into the CAD system?

After clicking on the CAD or Generate CAD MODEL button (some supplier portals), the specified formats are generated and then displayed in the "Prepared files" download area.

The prerequisite is that you have defined the desired formats under Formats -> Your formats in the corresponding section (Download \| E-Mail \| PART2cad ). (If you have not already done so, go to the Add formats Tabbed page). You can select one, two or all three formats. See also ???. Download \| E-Mail \| PART2cad Generated parts are displayed under Prepared files after selecting Button files. The icon and text next to the generated parts tell you which method they are available for. Email: The Generated Parts are packed in a zip file and sent by email. After clicking on the text or icon, you will see shipping information and the included formats. Whether e-mail information is displayed in the download area depends on the portal. You may only receive the e-mail. For details see Section 12.1, “How can I send the selected CAD model to my e-mail address and import it into the CAD system?”. Download: The Generated Parts are provided packaged in a zip file. After clicking on Text or icon will have options to open or save the zip file. For details see Section 12.2, “How can I download the selected CAD model and import it into the CAD system?”. PART2cad: Click on the icon starts the direct integration. For details see Section 12.3, “How can I integrate the selected CAD model directly into the CAD system (PART2cad)? ”.

Note

The icon and text next to the generated parts tell you which method they are available for.

Email: The Generated Parts are packed in a zip file and sent by email.
