Renaming existing catalogs should be avoided at all costs, especially after the first publication has already taken place. If the company name has changed, it is always better to change the catalog name [Catalog name] (see PARTproject -> Settings -> General tab -> Catalog settings [Settings for the catalog] ) and its translation [Translation] (see Section 5.8.2.1.14, “ Translation ”). Even if this unfortunately results in an inconsistency with the physical folder name, all important references are usually retained and all dependent processes remain intact, which should primarily be ensured so as not to damage any existing processes in the customer environment. Should it nevertheless be unavoidable to change the physical catalog name, the eCAT project management team in Augsburg must be consulted beforehand.
