  • Display graphics in the table (if available) [Show graphics in table (if available)]: A table can also contain columns with graphics. If you want these to be displayed by default, activate the checkbox. This only controls the preselection. You can switch the graphics on and off at any time via the standard toolbar [Default]Show graphics in table.

There are two display options for the graphic size:

    • Small

    • Show preview images per line [Show preview images per line]:

If the option is activated, preview images are displayed per row in the table view [Table view]. (Only possible if these have actually been generated [usually administratively beforehand])

  • Show preferred rows only [Show only preferred rows] :

    • Variable for preferred series [Variable for preferred rows] In this field, you define the variable or the column that is to be used as the preferred series column. This will usually be the ERP_PDM_NUMBERcolumn.[120]

Both when browsing through the directories and projects and when searching, the display in the index and table will initially be with the preferred series function activated.

"Link database [Link database]" toolbar → "Preferred rows on/off"

"Link database [Link database]" toolbar → "Preferred rows on/off"

If the function is activated, only those directories are displayed in the index that contain at least one part with an existing ERP_PDM_NUMBER.

      Restricted index

    • Variable for alternative part If you check this box, the part that is closest to the preferred row part in the table is transferred to the CAD system as a meta file. This function is only supported by certain CAD systems.

  • Show class variables :

If this option is activated, the class variables are also displayed in the respective column headers in accordance with the specified classification (eClass 7.1 in this example). This functionality is also available for your own classifications. You can find detailed information on this under Section 5.12.14, “Create or edit your own class system ”.

The Sort digits as numbers option only affects columns that contain a mixture of numbers and text and only becomes visible when the sorting is explicitly performed using the relevant column.

    Option activated:

When sorting, the value of the entire number is taken into account so that a natural sorting takes place.

    Option deactivated:

The entire string is seen as text and thus the leading number is valued higher than the entire numerical value. See the following illustration.

    [Note]Note

Activation can - if desired by the manufacturer - also be explicitly set in the project file only for certain variables and is effective even if the option is deactivated in the PARTdataManager is deactivated.[a]

  • Display warning if exported part does not belong to the preferred series [Show warning, if exported part is not in preferred rows]: This option is optional, please activate the checkbox if desired.

The following notification shows up if the part does not belong to the preferred row.
