1.7.4.2.  Create variant in the PARTdataManager

Via Add dataset to link database (variant) you can create a variant of a dataset in PARTdataManager.

[Note]Note

The variant is not created in the geometry tables but in the LinkDB, so that no problems arise during later catalog updates

The button is only available with enhanced ERP functionality (erpcustom.cfg).It is also role-specific, meaning it may be deactivated for some users. For more info see ???.

Choose a dataset which is closest to the variable to be changed.

After clicking on the button, the Create variant window opens up.

All variables of the part are listed.

In the example to the right D was set from 20 to 22.

Afterwards the same dialog shows up as in Add dataset to link database (compare Section 1.7.4.1, “Add new ERP numbers ”).

Result:

The applied variant is shown in the PARTdataManager.
