5.12.13.2. Classify symbols (DXF/DWG) as "Additional export formats" (manually)

In this example the class CNSCAX|GFX|LAYOUT is used.

Initial situation:

  • The 2D data (DXF/DWG) are stored in any pool directory (in this example this is the directory "symbol").

  • The unique identifier of each part has to be taken from the source file (e.g. PDT).

Procedure:

  1. Enter DXF/DWG files in PARTproject under Additional export formats.

  2. The unique identifier can be seen in the source file (e.g. PDT) and has to be inserted in the class CNSCAX|GFX|SYMREP, in the attribute "CNS_DOC_CNSURI".

In the following a manual procedure is described, which can be automated as well (see ???):

  1. Select the project to which you want to assign a certain symbol as additional export format. (In this example "c2fvvi412020.prj")

  2. In PARTproject -> Settings -> tabbed page General -> menu item General -> Additional export formats, click on the search button ....

-> The same-named dialog is opened.

  3. Under File path, enter the path to the desired DXF file. (Here "../../symbols/111102.dwg".)

  4. Under ID, enter the unique identifier, as it can be found in the source file (e.g. PDT). (Here "111102".)

  5. Furthermore enter a Description.

  6. Confirm with OK.

-> The DXF/DWG file is now inserted under Additional export formats.

  7. Set the class CNSCAX|GFX|LAYOUT (Layout).

In the attribute CNS_DOC_CNSURI, enter the ID of the additional file with following syntax.

    ADDFILE://ID

  8. If all entries are made, the part can be exported to the CAD.
