1.7.1.3.1. Link table and ERP table

The following explains, over which tables the geometric data are connected to the ERP data.

The two most important tables in the database model in the LINKDB are the LINKTABLE and the ERPTABLE.[13]

Under PARTlinkManager -> Extras -> Configure ERP environment -> PARTlinkManager preferences tabbed page -> Modify column display the columns of the Link table and the ERP table are listed. The Table columns shows the corresponding allocation.

Link table / ERP table

  1. ERP table

The ERP table serves to save data from third party systems.

The table consists of three columns in its basic form. You can apply as many more columns as desired (potential maximum depends on license). These are then inserted in the ERP table.

    • ERP_PDM_NUMBER (primary key)

A specific number from the customer's third party system(s) (ex. SAP) is used.

    • MAT_NAME

      Material

    • DESCRIPTION

Short description from the customer's third party system.

  2. Link table

The columns in the Link table contain information regarding to which project and which row the attribute and/or variant of the part corresponds.

    The most important columns are:

    • PSOL Project

Saves the path to the project file in the catalog

    • Line ID

Running number of attributes within a project

    • Line sub ID

Running number for user-specific variations of a characteristic within a Line ID

For example, a user can define different materials or special measurements outside of the standard, or vary value range fields.

    • Version

Saves the version of the project.

(The current version is always shown in the PARTdataManager.)

    • Variant

Value range 0/1: If a geometry value of a NON-value range field is changed, the value is set from '0' to '1'. For more information, see:Section 1.7.1.3.2, “Internal treatment of variants”.

    • PSOL Identifier

Saves all geometric information of a part; contains all geometric variables with values

    • ERP number

The ERP number is used as reference to the ERP table.

The primary key of this table is a combination of the PSOL Project, Line ID, Line sub ID and Version. With these entries a part is specifically identified.
