4.7.2.52. Filter similar parts in part view

In the PARTdataManager in Part view in the Links dialog area, you can now easily set which categories and/or classifications you want to use for the reference to similar parts.

Until now, these setting options were only available under PARTdataManager -> Extras -> Settings... -> Part selection -> Content of the link window.

Depending on the selection in the list field, certain categories are used for the reference.

These may be:

  • Directory

    The rest of the parts from the same directory are shown.

  • Accessories

    References to parts linked to projects.

  • Similar parts

    With this selection, the geometric similarity search is being performed in the background.

  • Classification

    The same classified parts within the selected classification are shown.

By double-clicking on a part displayed in the window, you can load this directly into the 3-D view.
