With V12.13, the ability to compare parts in a 3D comparison [3D comparison] docking window in PARTdesigner was implemented. For more information, see Section 1.2.1.3.1.12, “ 3D comparison: 3db <-> STEP file”.

V12.14 brings a few more enhancements:

  • The table is now displayed next to the 3D view.

  • STEP file can be loaded in an empty environment. The purpose is not to compare, but rather to be able to perform measurements.

  • The current geometry is always loaded as the left part.

  • The current Part can be used with Current Geometry load/update [Load/update current geometry] can be reloaded at any time.
