Creating sketches is simple and quick.
The sketch search (2D) [Sketch search (2D)] is useful if no reference part is available for a geometric search (3D) [Geometric search (3D)]. In a second step, the search may then be continued with Geometric search (3D) [Geometric search (3D)].
All search methods can be combined with each other, only sketch search (2D) [Sketch search (2D)] and geometric search (3D) [Geometric search (3D)] are mutually exclusive.
The sketch search (2D) [Sketch search (2D)] is ideal if there is a special characteristic that can ideally be captured with just one simple sketch.

In the expanded menu of the advanced search methods, click on Sketch search (2D).
-> The same-named dialog box is opened.
Draw one to three views of the searched part.
When clicking on a cube face it is swiveled to the foreground.
Takes over all changes and closes the dialog box.
Then start the sketch search (2D) [Sketch search (2D)] using .
Closes the dialog window and starts the sketch search (2D) [Sketch search (2D)].
