3.2.8.1.1. Export from PARTbom

You can export PARTbom files in different ways.

Depending on which export format you select, the corresponding form areas are exported.

  • Export in CSV format:

--> Only the PARTbom [Table] table is exported. This can in turn be imported into Microsoft Excel, for example.

Separators [Separator] and text separators [Sign of text identification] depend on the spreadsheet program into which the table is to be imported later.

    [Note]Note

The file extension .csv must be a part of the file name!

Possibly you have to manually complete.

Within the export context menus [Export], you can switch between the rows of the column list using the large arrow buttons (on the right-hand side of the menu).

  • Export in HTML format:

HTML can be created directly (without sending an e-mail [send email] ).

  • send email

    Send BOM as e-mail:

Export in HTML format: The entire form is exported as an e-mail. The name of your mail server can be found in your browser.

use MAPI: When you activate the option, the e-mail is directly sent from the application without opening the e-mail program.

  • Export in DXF format:

    Only the PARTbom-Table is exported.

It can be imported by a CAD system at a later point. Table display criteria which are then allowed for in the CAD system, can already be defined in PARTbom using various input fields.

The option Truncate text that is too long [Cut long texts] can be used to limit the text displayed in a table cell to the length of the cell. The height/width ratio default setting [Height/Width ratio] of 110% is based on the set text style ISOCT.

In the Number of rows per table input field, you decide on the number of rows displayed per page. As long as you leave the "Value" set to DXF , the maximum possible number of table rows is displayed for each page. DXF corresponds to the setting 0, i.e. there is no limitation to a specific number of rows.

    Change column width

To change column widths, select the relevant column name and click on the Change column width button

-> The value of the column width blinks and can now be set manually.

To apply the change, confirm with ENTER or select another line in the column list.

    [Note]Note

The Text style and Text style file fields should contain the same DXF style! In addition to ISOCT, ISOCP and ITALIC are also possible styles.
