7.6.2.8. Extended Extrude/Cut functionality

[Note]Note

Currently, extrudes (and cuts) are limited to specific lengths. The functionality has been expanded with V12.9.

However, the options will only be officially available for future versions and are only an internal test version until they are released.

  • Length: Define extrusion via length input. (Standard as before)

  • To first: Until the first fully hit area extrude. [Extrude up to the first fully hit surface.]

    [Note]Note

Multiple selection is not possible. To extrude in both directions, you must work with a second sketch.

    [Note]Note

The Reverse direction option can/must be used if the selected surface does not clearly specify the direction (as in a cylinder, for example).

  • to Level [To plane]: Up to selected level extrude. [Extrude up to selected plane.]

Select the function and choose the desired level from the Select level [Select plane] list box.

    [Note]Note

You can only select layers that are above the extrude in the history (i.e. were created previously).

    Confirm with OK.

    [Note]Note

The plane does not have to be parallel to the sketch, but it must not be perpendicular to the sketch.

[Note]Note

Except for the Feature By All [Through all] all features work for both Base Extrude as well as Cut Extrude.
