With cloud catalogs, the catalogs are not installed locally but are provided by a CADENAS server (cloud server). This ensures that the latest catalog versions are always available.

LinkDB remains local. As soon as a project from a cloud catalog is assigned an ERP number, that project—along with all its dependencies— is copied to the local data directory.

If the catalog is updated on the cloud server, the locally copied projects must also be updated. During this process, the existing LinkDB records are mapped to the rows of the new project version—similar to a catalog update [Catalog update] with ERP integration.
