1.6.1.3.2.25.  Texture label

As of V12 there is a new feature to place pictures (e.g. a display or a label/logo) on faces of parts.

The labels are specified analogously to materials.

Texture labels are not transferred to CAD systems.

Preparation
  1. Specify the desired Texture label in PARTproject under Maintain render materials.

Open the dialog via click on the search button ....

-> The dialog box Render materials is opened.

  2. Click on Edit.

-> The dialog box Edit material for 3D preview is opened.

  3. Under Color texture, select the path to the picture which shall be used as label and activate the checkbox Textur Label.

(License and source need to be filled as well in order for the dialog to be closed, what has nothing to do with the label in principle.)

Materials created in this way are available for the assignment in PARTdesigner later.

Assigning labels to faces
  1. Label on planar face:

    1. Select the face.

    2. Open the context menu and click on the command Texture label.

    3. Select a coordinate system (similar to sketch on face).

-> The docking window Texture is opened.

    4. Determine the label's Positioning, Size and Rotation. In the list field under RenderMaterial, select the desired label.

    5. Confirm with OK.

    6. Update the display index and open the part in PARTdataManager.

  2. Label on rounded face:

Placing on a rounded face happens analogously.

    • Select round face

    • Open context menu

    • Select "Texture label"

    • Dialog will show up
