1.3.1.3.1. "Classify part" button in CAD menu/toolbar

In order to classify own parts, use the function Classify part.

In order for the function Classify part to be displayed in the CAD toolbar or in the CAD menu, in the CAD specific configuration file if<cadname>.cfg, in the block [UI], in the key MN_valid, at any place, the value "classify" has to be stated.

When clicking on the button, the Classification Wizard is started.

It has following features:

  • Moving or inserting single products / product families into an existing structure

  • Class suggestions based on existing products in target catalog

  • Assignment of class attributes during execution (free input or with the help of detected topological attributes of the part to be classified)

The Classification Wizard will not run "out of the box". Specific settings have to be made. Details can be found under Section 1.3.7, “ Classification Wizard ” in PARTwarehouse Manual.
