7.6.2.10.6.4. Maximum
radius of Chamfer/Fillet
If a blend with
radius "a" is to be
applied to a shoulder height "h", the following
applies:
a <= h
The distance of
measured planes (shoulder height "h") is 4 mm here.
Initial
situation:
The distance of measured planes
(shoulder height "h") is 4 mm here.
Selection
of desired edge and definition of Chamfer/fillet Radius "a" (here 6 mm)
Result:
This
approach results in errors.
The same
applies for chamfers.
If two blends
with radii "a" and
"b" are to be
applied to a shoulder height "h", the following
applies:
a+b <= h
Otherwise an
errors occurs (see following figures).
The
distance of measured planes (shoulder height "h") is 4 mm
here.
Selection
of both edges and definition of Chamfer/fillet Radius "a" and "b" (here 3 mm)
This
approach results in errors again.
The same
applies for chamfers.
