For the creation
of neutral Shared Parameters CADENAS provides its own Shared Parameter
file (which is delivered with the software [CADENAS_SOFTWARE\iface\revit\Common\CNS_Shared_Parameters.txt]).
Precondition: The Revit classification has to be installed.
In order for a value to be available in Revit as Shared Parameter, it has to be assigned as attribute of the class CADENAS Revit shared parameter file.
All parameters are assigned to this class (Feature-Name = GUID).
Assigning a table variable of the PARTsolutions characteristic attribute table happens in the dialog box Class variables, in the table column Variable. Assigning a fixed value via table column Value is not recommended, e.g. because conversion problems of the unit may occur.
The CADENAS
SharedParameterClassification is part of the configuration file
ifrevit.cfg.
Following example shall give a short overview which steps are required and how the result will look like.
Add the class CADENAS Revit shared parameter file.
Classify the desired attributes.
Update the full text search index and open the part in PARTdataManager.
Under Part information, you will see the assigned parameters.
In Revit, open the dialog box Type properties.
Here you can see all attributes of the family at a glance.
Click on the button Edit parameter.
In the dialog Parameter properties, you can see whether the parameter is a Family parameter or a Common used parameter.
