6.10.7.1.  Messages...

All generations and publications are displayed chronologically in the message dialog window [Messages].

Call

Extras menu -> Messages [Messages...]..

Click on Messages [Messages...]... to open the Messages dialog box [Messages].

Description

  • Icons:

    IconMeaning

    Generation and publication successful

    Generation or publication failed

  • Bold font indicates that a message has not yet been clicked. As soon as a message is clicked, the subject text [Subject] appears on the right and the bold font disappears.

  • Filter:

    Useful at very large lists

    Filter for subject [for example "Failed"], catalog name, mode [for example "LIVE"], user name.

Activate notification

When you activate the notification, you save always checking, whether there are any changes. You can see at a glance if a generation/publishing failed.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Call up the Settings dialog box via Tools [Extras] menu -> Settings [Settings...]....

  2. Select the Messages menu item.

  3. Activate the Monitor for [Poll for new messages] new messages option.

    -> Now at each status change of generation or publishing a popup window is opened and a notification displayed in the status bar.

    Click on the link or icon to open the message dialog window [Messages].

Filter presetting:

Perhaps you are only interested in a very specific catalog and you would like to filter the display in the news window [Messages] accordingly?

  1. Call up the Settings dialog box via Tools [Extras] menu -> Settings [Settings...]....

  2. Select the Messages menu item.

  3. Click on the Select none button to make sure that there really are no hidden selections.

  4. In the Catalog name dialog area, check the box next to the desired catalog (or several catalogs).

  5. Make sure that the Show messages for all catalogs option is deactivated. If this checkbox is activated, the activation status of the checkboxes in the list is ignored.

  6. Result:

    If you deactivate the Show only messages for selected catalogs option in the message dialog box [Messages], you will see the full display again.
