4.15.3.3.2.  Correct version numbers

The Correct version numbers command is not normally required, but only for troubleshooting.

If the version number entry in the project file (verhist.cfg ) and in the LinkDB ( Version column) are different, the project cannot be displayed in the PARTdataManager cannot be displayed.

This could possibly happen by deleting and new installation of a catalog.

In the PARTdataManager the following error message appears:

In order to correct the error do the following:

  1. Start PARTlinkManager either from the start menu or from PARTdataManager.

    PARTdataManager -> Call up PARTlinkManager [Launch PARTlinkManager]

    PARTdataManager -> Call up PARTlinkManager [Launch PARTlinkManager]

  2. Start the Update Manager [Update manager] via the Extras menu.

  3. Click on the context menu command Correct version numbers.

    -> Respective LinkDB entries are corrected.

After executing the command, the Incorrect versions [Wrong versions] dialog box may appear.

[Note]Note

Incorrect versions are displayed in red. The other project details have no meaning. If you want to hide them, activate the Show only projects with [Show only projects with wrong versions] incorrect versions checkbox.

Select the project to be corrected and click on Correct.

During the correction run, variables that may have changed and the MIdent are also adjusted. Edited rows are recreated in the LinkDB with the correct version number. The value in the ACTIVE_STATE column is "Locked ".
