1.3.4.2.1. Example

In this example we will search for the following head cap screw:

  1. In the index tree, select the "Würth" catalog, for example.

    Under Search in, select the Current catalog option.

    Under Search for, select the option Part families and individual parts [parts and part families].

    -> Current catalog (Würth) is displayed under Search in.

    -> Facets are displayed in the Filter dialog area.

  2. Set the following filters:

    • Keywords -> Cylinder head screws

    • Classifications -> Machine screw, screw with flat surface, internal drive

      [Tip]Tip
      • A filter input field is available for keywords [Keywords], for example. This allows you to quickly find the options you are looking for.

      • In principle the sequence when setting filters doesn't matter.

      -> After setting the first filter, the dialog area is displayed on the left.

      -> Each time a filter is set, the display is adjusted immediately.

      -> In our example, now only head cap screws are shown.

      -> Furthermore now common variables are displayed.

  3. For example, set the following variable filters:

    • Surface -> DC3

    • Material -> ST

    • Quality -> 10.9

    -> Now one product is already specified.

    -> The more you specify the more variable filters are displayed (at screws e.g. nominal thread diameter and length, etc.).

  4. Specify nominal thread diameter and length.

    • Nominal thread diameter -> 10

    • Length -> 45

  5. Open the part.

    -> Exactly the searched characteristic is shown.

  6. If you want to see all table rows, click on the icon Search result filter on/off [Search filter on/off].

    -> All table lines are displayed and the icon appears grayed out .
