[Tip]Tip
  • Basic difference between full text search (Tabbed page Contents [Content] ) and index search (Tabbed page Index ):

The full text search is a "fuzzy" search (similarity search). You will also receive hits if the search term was not exact. This may be desirable, but it can also be annoying.

If you want to carry out an exact search, put the search term in quotation marks.

Sometimes it is better to limit the search term to avoid unintentionally excluding results (or obtaining unwanted results).

For example, leave out unimportant filler words or use only the core term:

Leave out "part" in the example.

Leave out "part" in the example.

  • For example, search with terms as they are displayed in the tooltip.

  • The index search always searches for the exact term entered. Start the search with the return key after entering just a few letters. You will receive hits if the entered term appears anywhere in the indexed term.
