Chapter 7. License server

7.1. What is a license server installation?

The license server setup sets up a license server that distributes the required licenses to the corresponding users (named users).

	Note
	The PARTsolutions server (with PARTsolutions installation and the license directory) and the license server master can be the same computer in practice.

	Note
	The license (and thus a possible license server) must be available at the start of PARTapplicationServer, as it configures its functionality at the start. A "pulling" of licenses is not possible and intended.
