7.17. Docking window "3D comparison"
With the 3D comparison, you can visually compare two components with each other.
You will need
any *.3db file of a component and the
Comparison model as STEP file. Other file formats can be
cannot be used. In addition, only the
basic configuration of a component, i.e. only the first
Row from the table of the component.
To compare the two files with each other, proceed as follows:
Open the desired component in PARTdesigner.
3D comparison:
Click the button to STEP
file.
Select a file from your computer and click on Open.
The dialog window for the import opens.
If desired, make the configuration there in the advanced settings.
Click OK to start the import process.
The file is loaded in the 3D comparison docking window and you can compare the two files with each other.
