If the QA mode is active (PARTproject → Extras → Settings... [Preferences...] → General → Activate QA ), a direct opening or creation of files in PARTdesigner is not allowed. Editing must be started via PARTproject. Corresponding toolbar button and menu item are inactive.

The New [New] button or the File → Relay menu [New] command creates a new, empty *.3db file at.

[Note]Note

An already opened file is closed. Please save your data before!

PARTdesigner opens in geometry and table mode ( [Save location] " In geometry and table " storage location [Save location] ).
