In general, only IGES should be used here.

However, it can happen from time to time that components throw an error when exporting to IGES. In this case, IGES 3D can be used to bridge the gap until the component has been corrected and released.

In general, only SAT should be used here.

However, it can happen from time to time that components throw an error when exporting to SAT. In this case, SAT 3D can be used to bridge the gap until the component has been corrected and released.

STEP 3D/STEP

In general, only STEP should be used here.

However, it can happen from time to time that components throw an error when exporting to STEP (see the following exemplary illustration). In this case, STEP 3D can be used to bridge the gap until the component has been corrected and released.

On PARTcommunity portals the error can only be recognized by the error message "Cannot generate part in STEP format". Here a test export in the PARTdatamanager should be carried out again.

IMPORTANT: the numerical code at the end of the error message may differ from above figure depending on specific problem (e.g. Cut, Extrude, additional body, etc.).

STL: Everything becomes a single part

STL (reduced): Everything becomes a single part, number of triangles is reduced
