	The project filter setting is an outdated setting, especially for catalog splitting, and should no longer be used if possible.

If the Select using project filter setting is set on the Catalog split [Catalog separation] Tabbed page, the projects from the filter are collected during the catalog split and copied 1 to 1 into the catalog to be split.
