In PARTproject General -> Variables -> Material tab, there is a field for specifying the component material.

Clicking on the ... button at the end of the line, a window opens in which you can select materials that have already been used in the past. Primarily, materials should always be selected from this list in order to maintain uniformity within the catalog (and across manufacturers). Materials that do not yet exist in the list may be entered as "free text" - however, these must then always be translated to at least "English" and "Default" via the Translation tab.

	The maintained materials are not mapped to any material lists of the CAD systems during the part export (date 22.06.2015) – they only fulfill an informative function.
