1.4.1.4.2.7. DW files per table row

Complex assemblies in particular can have a large number of variants in a table. It can make sense to use different screen layouts here.

You can also define dw files for individual table rows.

As soon as the CNSDWTEMPLATE column (the name is mandatory) exists in the table, the corresponding dw files are used. Enter the path to the desired dw file for each line, relative to the loaded project.

[Note]Note

Up to V12.7, the variable CNSDWTEMPLATE must be created as a feature algorithm [Attribute algorithm].

From V12.8, it may also be created as a variable with fixed values [Variable with fixed values], unless downward compatibility must be guaranteed.

If a project loads a dw file via its folder structure and from the table at the same time, both are displayed. Exception: If both dw files are identified by the same name, the dw file from the table is used.

[Note]Note

The dw files of all table rows must be identified by the same name.

The path is not translated. No variables may be used in the path.

Details can be found under Section 7.11, “Docking window "2D derivation " - Create your own combination views (*.dw) ” in eCATALOG 3Dfindit
