7.13.4.5. Insert pipe clamp into structure using rule

Now the pipe clip shall be taken into the assembly. For this, it has to be defined, which connection point of the double T-beam shall be connected with which connection point of the pipe clip.

  1. In the Configurator docking window, in the "Double T-beam (T)" component, click on the New rule command in the context menu of the "Pipe clamp" connection point.

  2. Enter a name (here "t_beam_pipe_clip") and define connection part (here "din_3015_cfg") and connection point (here "Zentrum Rohr_KP1")

Rule for connection point "t_beam_pipe_clip" on part "din_1025_s (TB)"

Rule for connection point "t_beam_pipe_clip" on part "din_1025_s (TB)"

  3. In the Structure [Assembly] docking window, click on the assembly root element, then on the dummy start part and then select a table row.

As the Automatically add free connection points [Append free connection points automatically] option has been activated in the Assembly properties dialog, the assembly should now be created automatically.

    No valid table line selected

    No valid table line selected

-> In fact, the build happens automatically, however stops at the pipe clip. The reason is that no table row can be detected automatically.

-> Therefore, a corresponding error message appears: "No valid table row selected [No valid table line selected] "

  4. In the assembly, click on the red pipe clip element and then on a table row.

-> Now the build process will be completed; however, some further adjustments have still to be done.

    • A condition has to be set in order that an automatic selection can be performed at the pipe clip. That means, the correct type of pipe clip shall be inserted, the diameter has to be correct, etc.

This requires the setting of variable releases [Variable shares] beforehand.

    • The pipe has to be oriented correctly.

This also requires variables to be enabled [Variable shares] beforehand.
