1.6.3.2.1.2. Settings on project level

Have they been used for a specific project (standard or Purchase Part) settings, the Detached Part [Discontinued part] window appears when called up in 3Dfindit / PARTdataManager, in which one or more several parts are listed, which instead of the original selection (if this option is available in the configuration file replace_std.cfg has been activated).

If the TREEICONS key (see Section 1.6.3.2.1.1, “General settings”) has been set to the value '1', separate symbols are also displayed in the PARTdataManager Directory tree, separate symbols are also displayed for replaced or deleted standards.

Meaning of the icons

(The following table shows the icons from 3Dfindit. The appearance compared to PARTdataManager is only slightly different).

  • Config entry:

    ALLOW_OLD=0: Old standard removed without replacement

    No entry under NEW1, 2, etc.

  • Display in the dialog box:

    Product discontinued. Please do not use for new projects.

    No display of alternative parts

  • Config entry:

    ALLOW_OLD=1: Old standard temporarily allowed

    No entry under NEW1, 2, etc.

  • Display in dialog box:

    Product to be discontinued. Please do not use for new projects.

You can access the configuration file in PARTadmin under category Configuration files -> $CADENAS _DATA/datasetup -> replace_std.cfg.

If changes are made, restart PARTdataManager is necessary.

Blocks with project path

In the following blocks, you specify the expired standard and supplier parts.

Block name is the complete relative path from the catalog down to the project file.

Example:

  • ALLOW_OLD = (value range 0 or 1)

    If set to 1, the Open button is visible in PARTdataManager.

    ALLOW_OLD = 1: Button "Open" button visible

    ALLOW_OLD = 1: Button "Open" button visible

    If set to 0, the Open button is not visible in PARTdataManager.

    ALLOW_OLD = 0: Button "Open" is hidden

    ALLOW_OLD = 0: Button "Open" is hidden

  • EXPORT_OLD = (value range 0 or 1)

    • 0: When exporting a part the following message is displayed:

      This part is considered replaced and may no longer be exported by you [This part is said to be obsolete and may not exported by you].

    • 1: Part may be exported.

      A message is displayed.

  • CREATENR_OLD = (value range 0 or 1)

    If set to 0, an error message is displayed when you click on the Add data record to link database [Add dataset to link database] an error message is displayed.

    PARTdataManager: No data record may be created for this expired standard [Adding a dataset is not allowed for this expired norm.].

    To use this function, the script replace_mm.vbsmust be activated in erpcustom.cfg -> Block [ADDTODB].

  • NEW1 = norm/din_en_iso/screws/cylindrical screws/din_en_iso_4762.prj

    NEW2 = norm/din_en_iso/screws/cylindrical screws/din_en_iso_1234.prj

    Relative path to the new project (starting with catalog name).

    If no entry is made, the "Deleted without replacement [Replaced without substitution] " icon is displayed.
