7.8.15. Mark parts to be avoided

[Note]Note

As of V10 the marking of parts/lines to be avoided happens by an own variable CNSAVOID in the characteristic attribute table.

The control via configuration file $CADENAS_DATA/datasetup/avoid_parts.cfg is no longer used!

In some Standards certain sizes are marked as to be avoided sometimes.

To show or hide these parts, use the PARTdataManager hide rows to be avoided [Hide Lines to Avoid] button . The button is deactivated by default so that all project rows are displayed. If you activate the button, rows marked with the icon are hidden.

Hide rows to be avoided [Hide Lines to Avoid]: deactivated

In order to provide the functionality proceed as follows:

  1. Create the variable CNSAVOID in PARTdesigner, create the variable CNSAVOID in the table.

  2. By default, set the value 0 for all lines. For lines (parts) to be avoided set the value 1.

  3. Hide the CNSAVOID column for the view in PARTdataManager.

For this, make sure that there are no assignments to any group.
