Pipe Connector Discipline:
- Piping: Supply lines for the transportation of gases and liquids such as water, oil or similar
  The capacity or inner diameter is important
  Statement of pipe thickness in schedule number
- Tubing: Empty tubes
  Important is the outer diameter (nominal dimension based on the outer diameter)
  Specification of the pipe thickness in mm or inches
- HVAC: Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning - Air ducts
- Conduit: conduits, cable ducts
- Electrical: Cable/power supply
Pipe Connector Function: Flow direction of the medium or fastening
- E = Inlet of a medium
- A = Outlet of a medium
- U = Undefined medium flow direction
- B = Fastening connection (e.g. to fasten burners to boilers)
Pipe Connector Designation: Type of use of the connection
- System (=Gobal):
- Supply
- Return
Note
If not specified, ideally, value "Global" should be used (to avoid problems if flow direction is changed).
Pipe Connector ISOGEN Code: ISOGEN code for the component (4 letters)

Pipe connection forms
For pipes, the following connection forms are distinguished by means of appropriate codes (the zero points of the connection coordinate systems lie on the connection points marked with a circle).
List field selection: e..g. NIPP, MUFF, GLAT, RUF, OVFL (see VDI 3805)

GLAT: Flat face

MUFF: Socket

NIPP: Fitting

RUFL: Round flange

OVFL: Oval flange

ZWFL: Intermediate flange

Connection forms for air ducts
For air ducts, the connection forms are distinguished by means of appropriate codes (the connection points are marked by a small circle in each case).

LREF: Rectangular flange

LREM: Rectangular socket

LREN: Rectangular fitting

LREL: Rectangular hole fitting

LTRF: Trapezoid flange

LTRM: Trapezoid socket

LTRN: Trapezoid fitting

LTRL: Trapezoid hole fitting

LOVF: Oval flange

LOVM: Oval socket

LOVN: Oval fitting

LOVL: Oval hole fitting

LRUF: Round flange

LRUM: Round socket

LRUN: Round fitting

LRUL: Round hole fitting

PipeConnector VDI Method:

The connection method is determined by an alphanumeric code which defines the qualitative form of the active area pairing in the connection. It can be made up of, e.g., a DIN number for the type of thread or flange, combined with a pressure stage or rating provided that the latter has an impact on the form of the active area (e.g. in the case of flanges).

Pipe Connector Nominal Diameter: Nominal (inner) pipe connection diameter. Is controlled via a corresponding variable.

Example: Pipe Connector Nominal Diameter: Variable "DN1"
Pipe Connector External Diameter: External pipe connection diameter. Is controlled via a corresponding variable.
Pipe Connector Insertion Depth: Insertion depth. Is controlled via a corresponding variable.

Note
For the connection forms "Fitting" and "Socket" the insertion depth has to be stated.
