[Note]Note

If under Extras -> Settings... -> General, the option Update index after downloading a catalog [Update index after downloading catalog] is selected, the index is updated with every download. If only a subdirectory is downloaded, the index is only updated for this subdirectory.

(Correspondingly more time required in each case)

The difference to Check out project / directory (for editing)is that the downloaded file can be opened, but no changes can be made.

Synchronization is independent of the assignment of editing rights!

The lock symbol does not change during this process!
