1.4.3.1. Dashboard display: Preconditions and call

  1. Check the requirements.

    • In PARTadmin -> AppServer Client [AppServer client] -> Settings tab page, one of the following options must be selected under Connection to AppServer [AppServer connection]:

      • Catalog browsing, search and database with AppServer

      • Catalog browsing and search with AppServer

      • Search with AppServer

    • Server address: Enter the name or IP address of the server (which is running as a service).

      (For test purposes, "localhost" can also be used. To do this, start the local pappserver.exe via command line with parameter "-e")

    • Click on the Show server status [Show server state] button.

      -> The tab <"Address of the server"> (in the example above "localhost") appears next to the Settings tab.

      You have the option of activating the Use external browser option.

  2. Switch to the "Server name " tab.

  3. Log in under User, if not done automatically. The easiest way to do this is to select the option Use Windows authentication.

  4. Select the Tasks tab page and click on New task.
