7.6.2.12.6.4. Maximum radius of chamfer/rounding
If a chamfer/rounding with radius "a" is to be applied to a feature with shoulder height "h", the following applies:
a <= h
The distance of
      measured planes (shoulder height "h") is 4 mm here.
- Initial
          situation: - The distance between the measured levels (shoulder height "h") is 4 mm here. -
 -

- Selection of the desired edge and definition of the chamfer/rounding
radius [Radius] "- a" (here 6 mm)
 -
 -

- Result: - This
          approach results in errors. -
 -

The same
      applies for chamfers.
If two chamfers/roundings with radius "a" and "b" are to be applied to a feature with shoulder height "h", the following applies:
a+b <= h
Otherwise an
      errors occurs (see following figures).
- The
          distance of measured planes (shoulder height "h") is 4 mm
          here. -
 -

- Selection of the two edges and definition of the chamfer/rounding
radii "- a" and "- b" (here 3 mm)
 -
 -

- This
          approach results in errors again. -
 -

The same
      applies for chamfers.
